January 2, 2024

In a world that constantly demands our attention, ADHDers often find themselves grappling with challenges that can hinder their daily lives. The journey to managing ADHD is multifaceted, and one crucial aspect involves understanding and effectively managing ADHD medications. To shed light on this topic, UA has organized a webinar series this January to provide valuable insights into the nuances of ADHD medication with medical experts from the US and Singapore.

Scheduled for 22 and 30 Jan, 8-9pm SGT, the webinar series aims to demystify the complexities surrounding ADHD medications and empower individuals, caregivers, and healthcare professionals with the knowledge needed to navigate this aspect of ADHD management effectively. ADHD is a spectrum disorder, and what works for one individual may not be suitable for another. By fostering an open dialogue, the webinar series aims to empower participants to make informed decisions about treatment options.

Part One – “Understanding ADHD Medication” on Mon 22 Jan will explore how these medications work in the brain, helping to dispel common myths and misconceptions. The session will feature Dr Dan Shapiro (US), Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician and Author / Founder of Parent Child Journey, and Dr Adrian Loh (SG), Senior Consultant Psychiatrist at Promises Healthcare.

Part Two – “Managing ADHD Medication” on Tue 30 Jan will also address common concerns and potential side effects associated with ADHD medications. Dr Dan Shapiro will be joined by Dr Bhanu Gupta (SG), Senior Consultant Psychiatrist at Institute of Mental Health for this session.

By fostering understanding, dispelling myths, and providing information on ADHD to medication management, this webinar series promises to be a beacon of knowledge and support for all those touched by ADHD. Don’t miss the opportunity to enhance your understanding and make informed decisions on the road to managing ADHD effectively.
